IRS Resuming Tax Collections July 15

The worldwide COVID-19 pandemic has given relief to taxpayers in a number of ways, but most prominently has been the IRS giving relief on tax collections efforts until July 15.

However, after July 15 it is anticipated that the IRS will resume its overdue tax collections efforts.

The positive news is we expect a relaxation of what the IRS will be accepting as part of tax collections Offer in Compromise (OIC) settlements so now is as good a time as ever to take the steps to act fast, be proactive, and prepare yourself to take advantage of a likely overwhelmed IRS system that may be willing to reach quicker settlements with troubled taxpayers.

If you have unfiled returns and a large tax debt, now is the time to talk to a St. Louis tax attorney to understand your options and how the current pandemic may be the most beneficial time to settle your outstanding tax debt for less than what is owed.

Give us a call today at 314-394-3370 for a consultation to discuss your tax collections defense options.
